Frequently Asked Questions — Pomodoro Timer
What is the Pomodoro Technique?
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that uses a timer to break work into focused intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short 5-minute breaks. After completing four work sessions, you take a longer 15-30 minute break. This technique improves focus and reduces mental fatigue. For workout-style intervals instead, try our Interval Timer with HIIT and Tabata presets.
What focus lengths can I choose?
Our Pomodoro timer offers three customizable focus session lengths: 25 minutes (traditional), 30 minutes, and 45 minutes (deep work). The short break is 5 minutes and the long break is 15 minutes. After every 4 focus sessions, a long break is automatically triggered.
Does the Pomodoro timer track my history?
Yes! The Pomodoro timer tracks completed focus sessions and stores your session history locally in your browser. The Stats panel shows your session streak, weekly completion chart, and detailed history of all completed sessions.
